Heather Broner Named On Black Impact Magazine's 26 Of 2026 Women Of Impact List

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t care about their health. They struggle because the path to better health isn’t always clear, accessible, or built for them. For Heather Broner, improving people’s health has never been just about access to care. It has always been about connection. Connection to the right support, to better information, and to the belief that a healthier life is actually within reach.

With more than 15 years in marketing, including 13 years in healthcare technology, and a foundation in clinical care, Heather has become a leader focused on helping people not only find care, but feel empowered to use it. Her work lives at the intersection of healthcare, behavior, and communication, where the goal is not just awareness, but real, lasting change in people’s lives. Over the course of her career, Heather has helped nearly half a million people connect to care and improve their health across virtual urgent and primary care, mental health and teletherapy, blood pressure and heart health, metabolic health, and AI-powered movement and physical therapy. Across each of these areas, her approach remains grounded in one core belief. Start with the person. Their needs, barriers, and mindset are not secondary, they are the foundation.

She is known for building thoughtful, data-informed experiences that feel personal rather than transactional. As a leader, she guides cross-functional teams to focus on what matters most, making experiences clearer, easier, and more meaningful for the people they serve. For Heather, success is not just measured in metrics, but in the real stories of people whose lives have been positively changed by the work.

Her path to this work was not linear. Heather originally set out to become a doctor, studying Health Sciences on a pre-med track and earning her degree in Biology. She worked in the emergency room, in laboratory settings including microbiology, and in clinical research, gaining a firsthand view of the healthcare system. When she stepped away from medicine, she found a new path through an opportunity at a small multicultural marketing agency, where she discovered a different way to care for people, one that combined empathy, creativity, and communication. That experience ultimately led her into healthcare technology, where everything came full circle. It gave her the ability to bridge her clinical background with her passion for reaching people at scale, while also building and mentoring teams that continuously improve how care is delivered, experienced, and understood.

Her sense of purpose carries into her life as a mother. Heather created the “Adventures of a Boy Named Brooks” children’s book series for her son, wanting him to see himself reflected in the stories he reads while also understanding the depth and expansiveness of Black history. What began as a personal act of love has grown into a broader calling, creating stories that help children feel confident, curious, and connected to something bigger than themselves. At every stage of her journey, Heather has remained grounded in a simple belief. When people feel seen, supported, and connected, they don’t just access care, they change their lives.
