Eric Pollard Named On Black Impact Magazine's 26 Of 2026 Men Of Impact List

Eric is a founder, strategist, and creative architect whose work is driven by a lifelong commitment to helping people—whether individuals, teams, or entire organizations—reach greater clarity, alignment, and purpose. Known for his ability to merge creative vision with analytical precision, he has spent more than two decades using communication, systems thinking, and leadership as tools for empowerment. At the core of his work is a simple but deeply held belief: success is most meaningful when it extends beyond personal achievement and creates opportunity, understanding, and momentum for others. That philosophy first took form more than twenty years ago with the creation of YBE Magazine, a publication born from Eric’s desire to uplift the Black community by empowering young people to succeed across all aspects of life. From its inception, YBE reflected his instinct to lead through inspiration rather than instruction—using storytelling, representation, and shared experience to help others envision broader possibilities for themselves. That same instinct continues to shape every venture he builds today.

As the founder of Phenyx Consulting, Eric works with small to mid-sized companies to diagnose internal dysfunction, strengthen leadership alignment, and rebuild workplace cultures that are both humane and high-performing. His consulting approach is culture-forward and candid, grounded in the belief that talent rarely fails because of ability, but often because of broken environments. Through workflow optimization, internal communication strategy, and leadership coaching, Phenyx Consulting helps organizations create conditions where people can do their best work—and want to stay.

Beyond consulting, Eric is the founder of Phenyx Brands, an umbrella for purpose-driven consumer ventures that blend identity, wellbeing, and intentional design. One of its flagship brands, Maestro, is a men’s grooming line rooted in self-respect, care, and

personal presentation—not as vanity, but as an extension of confidence and mental wellbeing. Each brand in this ecosystem reflects his broader commitment to building with intention and meaning rather than chasing trends.

Eric is also the creator of Phenyx Ryzing, the parent company to Zenicism, a philosophy and growing platform focused on clarity, peace, and purposeful living in an increasingly complex world. Zenicism distills lessons from his personal journey, professional experiences, and introspective practice into guidance designed to help others navigate uncertainty without losing themselves. Through writing, reflection, and teaching, Zenicism emphasizes that clarity is the foundation of peace, and peace is what allows people to pursue and sustain their purpose.

A defining chapter in Eric’s story is his late-in-life understanding of his neurodivergence, specifically Asperger’s syndrome. Rather than reframing his past as limitation, this awareness provided clarity around the qualities that had always set him apart—his ability to be both highly creative and deeply analytical, and to excel across seemingly unrelated domains. He describes his cognitive strength as parallel processing: the capacity to hold multiple ideas, systems, and priorities in focus at once, developing and advancing them simultaneously. This capability fueled exceptional success in corporate roles and now underpins his work as a multi-venture founder and strategist.

Looking forward, Eric intends to expand Phenyx Ryzing to incorporate a nonprofit initiative dedicated to early understanding, testing, diagnosis, and acceptance of autism and Asperger’s in children within the Black community. The goal is to provide families with resources, support, and perspective—helping them recognize neurodivergence not as a disorder, but as a cognitive difference with its own strengths and challenges. It is a mission shaped by lived experience and the belief that earlier understanding can radically improve how children learn to navigate the world.

Across every endeavor—consulting, brand-building, writing, and future nonprofit work—Eric’s mission remains consistent: to help others see what is possible, to build environments that allow people to thrive, and to leave behind a legacy defined not by personal acclaim, but by the success, confidence, and clarity of those influenced by his work.
