Dr. Joel Brown Named On Black Impact Magazine's 26 Of 2026 Men Of Impact List

Dr. Joel Brown, MD, is a family physician and health system leader based in Ontario, Canada. Born in Jamaica and trained in the United Kingdom, he brings a global perspective shaped by his background and practice across different healthcare systems. He leads clinically in a rural community, where his work focuses on access, continuity, and the quality of frontline care.

He serves as Vice President of the Black Physicians' Association of Ontario (BPAO), where he contributes to leadership development, advocacy, and equity within the profession. His work centres on strengthening representation and building systems that serve diverse communities with greater care.
