Dr. Craig Glover is a nationally recognized healthcare executive, board leader, and advocate for expanding access to care in underserved communities. As president and chief executive officer of FamilyCare Health Centers in West Virginia, he leads a high-performing, multi-site federally qualified health center that delivers comprehensive primary care, behavioral health, dental, vision, and social services to more than 45,000 patients annually across approximately 150,000 visits. Guided by his leadership, FamilyCare has evolved into an integrated, community-focused health system that meets patients where they are and addresses both clinical and social drivers of health.

With more than two decades of executive leadership in the federally qualified health centers (FQHC), Dr. Glover has built a reputation for driving strategic growth, strengthening organizational culture, and advancing innovative, community-based care models. He has successfully led multiple organizations through expansion, operational transformation, and enhanced market positioning. At FamilyCare, he has guided significant growth in patient volume and revenue, expanded critical service lines including urgent care, pharmacy, behavioral health, psychiatry, and vision services, and improved patient experience metrics, all while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and access.

Dr. Glover’s journey into healthcare leadership is rooted in purpose. Having begun life in a low-income, single-parent household in St. Louis, he experienced firsthand the critical role of community-based care. That perspective has shaped his leadership philosophy and continues to inform his work today. Early in his career, he returned to serve at the very clinic where he once received care, a full-circle moment that reinforced his commitment to building systems that empower individuals and strengthen communities. He is widely known for his ability to align mission, market, and margin, ensuring that organizations not only deliver high-quality care but remain financially sustainable and positioned for long-term impact.

Before joining FamilyCare, Dr. Glover served as president and chief executive officer of FQHCs in Connecticut and Illinois, where he led successful growth strategies, improved operational performance, and expanded access to care. Earlier in his career, he held senior technology leadership roles, including as vice president and chief information officer of a Missouri FQHC, where he led enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts, including the implementation of integrated practice management and electronic medical record systems that improved access, coordination, and efficiency. His early experience in healthcare technology continues to inform his perspective on innovation, data strategy, and technology-enabled care delivery.

A respected voice in governance and leadership, Dr. Glover serves on multiple boards and advisory bodies. He is a board director for UHC Solutions, Inc. He also serves as board chair of the West Virginia Primary Care Association and the United Way of Central West Virginia. He contributes to national initiatives focused on strengthening community-based care, workforce development, and health system transformation. He was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services to the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services. Dr. Glover holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Advanced Leadership Studies, a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration. He is certified in Private Company Governance and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), as well as a Community Health Center Executive Fellow (CHCEF).
