Tony Reid is the visionary Founder and CEO of Drone Cadets, a national leader in drone education and workforce development. A U.S. Army veteran and FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, Tony brings over a decade of experience in the UAV industry and a lifelong passion for empowering underserved communities. Inspired by his years working with incarcerated youth at Rikers Island, Tony saw drones as a way to spark curiosity and create real career pathways. Since launching Drone Cadets, he has developed programs that blend hands-on flight training, drone building, coding, light shows, drone soccer, and FAA certification prep. His work has reached thousands of students in schools, detention centers, and community-based programs across the U.S., transforming how young people view STEM and their future. Tony partners with city agencies, educational institutions, and corporate sponsors to bridge the gap between technology and opportunity. Through Drone Cadets, Tony is not just teaching students how to fly drones—he’s showing them how to rise.
