Ron Higgs named on Black Impact Magazine's 100 Entrepreneurs To Know

Ron Higgs is a seasoned leader, engineer, business executive, and published author with more than 25 years of experience across leadership, operations, engineering management, and program management. Growing up outside Camden, New Jersey, Ron overcame early challenges thanks to the support of his mother, the local library system, and the Naval Sea Cadets—an experience that set him on a path of lifelong achievement.

Ron’s distinguished military career includes service as a U.S. Navy Naval Flight Officer and Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer, where he performed flight testing in various military aircraft, flew combat missions during Operation Desert Storm, and conducted operational reconnaissance missions worldwide. He held leadership roles as Program Manager for advanced research and development programs and as Spacecraft Manager for a Department of Defense satellite system. He is a graduate and former instructor at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and has flown over 2,500 hours in multiple aircraft types.

Among his most noteworthy accomplishments, Ron was selected by the Navy as a Mission Specialist Astronaut Candidate—a recognition he considers a career highlight. After nearly two and a half decades of service, Ron transitioned to executive leadership in the private sector, holding senior roles in engineering, operations, and business management for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. His roles have included Senior Systems Engineer, Sales Director, Production Lead and Aircrew at Boeing, COO for multiple companies, and Founder and Principal at Wolf Management Solutions, LLC. Now, he is an Executive Coach and Strategic Business Advisor, known for his systems-thinking approach to leadership and his ability to bridge technical expertise with strong people skills.

Ron holds a BS in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MS in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a certificate in Engineering Flight Test from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. He has earned certifications in program management, systems engineering, and manufacturing from the Defense Acquisition University. His professional achievements have been recognized with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the National Reconnaissance Office Silver Medal, companywide honors at Boeing, and inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who.

Deeply committed to community service, Ron has served on city commissions, nonprofit boards, and as a mentor and board member for youth and leadership organizations. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps—a meaningful opportunity to give back to the very organization that helped shape his early life and career. Ron has also served on the Board of Trustees for the King County Library System and the Board of Directors for the Seafair Organization in Seattle, WA.

In his personal life, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife, Gina, traveling, riding his Harley, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and sharing good food and drinks with friends and family.
