Black Women Beyond Borders™ is more than a book. It is the foundation of a global movement that equips Black women to make intentional decisions about safety, wellness, belonging, economic opportunity, and global mobility through trusted relationships and informed decision-making.
Launching alongside the book is Liberation Compass™, the flagship decision intelligence platform developed by Elevated Labs™. Liberation Compass helps individuals navigate complex life decisions by organizing information, comparing options, identifying barriers, and developing personalized action plans aligned with their values, health, family priorities, and long-term goals. Rather than telling people where they should live or travel, the platform empowers them to make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
Together, Black Women Beyond Borders™ and Liberation Compass™ introduce a new approach to elevating liberation across the African diaspora. Readers are encouraged to slow down before making major life decisions, cultivate authentic relationships across the African diaspora, learn directly from local leaders and communities, and pursue opportunities that strengthen both individual wellbeing and collective prosperity.
The movement is inspired by the real-life friendship between Annie P. E. Holmes, DPS (hon) of the United States residing in Maryland and Ruth Sinkeler-Lemdzian of South America, residing in Suriname. What began as a digital connection grew into a trusted cross-border partnership rooted in mutual respect, shared purpose, and a vision for building stronger relationships throughout the African diaspora. Their story demonstrates that meaningful global collaboration begins with trust, not transactions.
