Q&A with Rubin.
What does the word impact mean to you?
Impact, to me, is about creating meaningful change that transcends personal gains and contributes to the betterment of others and society at large. It’s the sense of purpose that comes from knowing my actions, decisions, and words can shape perspectives, inspire growth, or bring about tangible improvements in the lives of individuals and communities. True impact isn’t always visible or immediate—it’s often the quiet, sustained efforts that resonate most deeply over time, leaving an indelible mark. Whether it’s through mentoring, educating, or innovating, impact means dedicating myself to something larger than personal success and contributing to a legacy of positive change. Moreover, impact involves cultivating resilience and empowering others to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and thrive. I see it as an ongoing commitment to align my actions with core values, ensuring that my influence reflects integrity, compassion, and inclusivity. It’s about intentionally creating spaces where others feel valued, heard, and encouraged to reach their potential. Ultimately, impact is the legacy we leave behind—a reflection of how we choose to engage with the world and the difference we strive to make every day.
